I ran Flight Simulator X successfully (without activating, so still in trial mode) today as follows with wine-1.3.35: 1) copy both discs to a directory to work around http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=25558 2) run in a virtual desktop to work around http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=25139 3) apply winsock patch from http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=26411 The game then runs well enough to let me destroy the ultralight in the first tutorial :-) I filed two bugs, installer slow ( http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=29367 ) crash on exit ( http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=29368 ) but they don't keep you from playing. Nice that one can run FSX without having to load any native DLLs!
