I read that Wine 20030408 was supporting glibc 2.3 (here http://www.winehq.com/?announce=1.74 ). However, I get this message when I try to execute wine:
wine: chdir to /tmp/.wine-nmarsh/server-303-242a7 : No such file or directory
Did you compile Wine yourself? Did you configure it with ./configure --with-nptl ?
Otherwise, if you downloaded binaries, you need binaries compiled for RH9. One possibility is this one (I haven't tried it myself):
