Wine has a fairly complete implementation of the 16 bit *Comm and 32 bit
*File functions for serial ports, using the comms API of the underlying
OS (FI Linux).  It can't work a winmodem except maybe a lucent or
other Linux-friendly vendor if you have a Linux driver for it.
Last I checked TAPI, DUN, RAS and so on are sparsely if at all
implemented, and no, I can't fix it: I have no foggiest idea what they
are spoze to do,
