I think the option showdirsymlinks affects directories
only. Anyway, it works for me and I have
showdirsymlinks commented out.
I started a discussion on wine-devel about correct
approach to deploy the applications. You are welcome
to participate.

The patch, which installs the apps is already in
today's CVS. Enjoy.
Note, the applications are not yet delivered to fake
Windows directories.
