I'm using FreeBSD 5.0 which is the current RELENG. My /usr/src and
/usr/ports are all updated regularly using cvsup to the current RELENG.
I had no trouble installing it from /usr/ports/emulators/wine using:

make; make install


However, it does require lots of dependancies and it took a good while
to install on my p3-850 system with 512MB RAM.
