Thanks for answering: Lots of stuff is not happening:

Invoking /opt/wine/bin/wine.bin /data/data/of3/n/nb.exe ...

If I try to run the command "command.com" I am told that I have the  wrong
msdos version????

Yes, either by invoking the dos program directly, or by invoking
command.com.
