Starcraft & Keyboard Problems

I'm sorry if this is a re-post - I switched news servers and it's not
showing up on the new one. Here goes:

I'm trying to run Starcraft fullscreen using xinit:

xinit /usr/bin/wine ./starcraft.exe -- /usr/X11R6/bin/X :1 -screen Starcraft

This runs SC in full-screen mode, no window manager, a separate X
server, DGA-enabled, the whole 9 yards. Starcraft starts and looks
great. Unfortunately, the keyboard and the mouse don't work. They get
disconnected as soon as starcraft kicks in. I have to log in remotely
and do a
killall wine
to re-gain control of my keyboard.
In my config file, I have
"Managed" = "N"
"DXGrab" = "Y"
"UseDGA" = "Y"
"UseXShm" = "Y"

I have tried running it with DXGrab both on and off, and neither worked.

Please help me.

P.S.:  Some history:
The last time I had SC working perfectly was under RedHat 7.1 using
wine-20010510. At the time, I tried updating to the latest Wine
release, wine-20010629 (I believe) and noticed the above mentioned bug,
so I decided not to upgrade any further. So, SC continued working
perfectly, until I switched to RedHat 7.2 (I chose "Upgrade" in the
installer). Then, wine-20010510 stopped working. I got the latest CVS
to work, (as of 2001-12-07 23:40 EST), but, like with all the versions
of wine post 20010510 in RedHat 7.1, the keyboard doesn't work. I tried
re-compiling 20010510, but it doesn't work.
