The dynamics of magma migration play a crucial role in determining the intensity, onset time, and potential duration of an eruption. Such parameters are often inferred through pre- and syn-eruptive monitoring of volcanic activity, including petrological analysis of freshly erupted samples. This session aims to foster connections within volcanology to unravel physical processes governing volcanic activity and aid in interpreting monitoring signals before and during eruptions, along with petrological evidence. We invite studies that employ experimental, analytical, or numerical methods, either independently or in combination, to understand magma dynamics, particularly those that incorporate petrological and experimental approaches. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: - Innovative numerical models simulating magmatic processes and eruption dynamics. - Analogue modelling approaches to understand magma feeding systems or conduit processes. - Modeling approaches that integrate petrological data. - Advances in experimental methodologies for characterising volcanic processes in laboratory settings.
