This field trip will explore Chile from east to west, starting just south of Santiago. Participants will journey through the volcanic cordillera, making stops in the central valley and coastal regions to investigate stratigraphic exposures and landforms. This field trip is open to both US and non-US scientists at any career stage interested in cross-disciplinary approaches to researching subduction systems. We encourage participation from a variety of scientific backgrounds with interdisciplinary interests in volcanology, structural geology, geomorphology, and seismo-tectonics.
