Dear Colleagues,

The IAVCEI ECR-Net Research Masterclass Series is a four-part series of
expert-led interactive workshops in 2023 and 2024, each one considering a
different aspect of preparing, publishing, and publicising your research.

The goals of this series are to demystify the scholarly publishing system
and to provide advice and resources to facilitate your research. Workshops
are hosted virtually. They are primarily aimed at Early Career researchers
across the IAVCEI community, who may not have much experience with various
aspects of publishing and research communication.

**IAVCEI ECR-Net Research Masterclass Series Part 2:** **How to review a
research paper**

The second of the IAVCEI ECR-Net Research Masterclass Series will be â??How
to review a research paper.â?? Our experts, Dr. Rebecca Neely (**Make
Communications**) and Prof. Karoly Németh (**Massey University; Saudi
Geological Survey; HUN-REN Institute of Earth Physics and Space Science**)
will outline the fundamentals of the scholarly review process, and guide
you through how to conduct a fair and constructive review.

**The Masterclass will be hosted on the 10th September 2024.**
