It is a 12-month position in the southern Rio Grande Rift with amazing
local field trip and research opportunities. We are a small department with
Bachelors and MS degree programs (https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://geology.nmsu.edu/__;!!IKRxdwAv5BmarQ!fKfYdwSjONjtQtSPjmI0_LmZWEKUdSX_akzI01VMfPJnWXMzFjtq1hlGRwOTq8_qxFpg7h5ghrIT9Ysq$

We have 5 faculty and about 12 graduate students at a time. The
administrative load is 50%, and you would teach two classes per year.

We are looking for someone qualified at the Full Professor level; previous
DH or Dept. Chair experience is helpful but not required. We are
particularly interested in someone who will complement our existing
specialties in Sedimentology/Stratigraphy, Mineralogy, Geochemistry, and
Tectonics/Structural Geology/Geochronology, but all disciplines will be
considered.

If this is not of interest to you, please forward it to someone you think
might be interested. The application deadline is February 9. Contact me for
questions about the position or the department at amato@xxxxxxxx or
575-646-3017.
