Are you interested in learning more about numerical modeling of volcanic eruptions and processes, and how to use modern cloud computing for it? Come to the VICTOR workshop! It will be held on *Saturday, February 17th, during the morning session* . Volcanology Infrastructure for Computational Tools and Resources, or VICTOR, is a cloud-based cyber-infrastructure platform for volcano scientists like you! On VICTOR, you can access, write, run, and analyze models for processes ranging from lava flow emplacement to sulfur degassing, and to easily access external datasets by NASA, NOAA, OpenTopgraphy, etc. VICTOR is also ideal for teaching, as it saves you and your students the effort of downloading and installing the codes. This workshop is meant to accelerate your familiarity with the platform and to demonstrate and practice access to tools and libraries that may be useful to your research.
