We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join a team studying the
influence of climate change on volcanic and crustal processes. A two-year
postdoc position is open for application at the Icelandic
Meteorological Office.
The researcher will work within the international collaborative project
ISVOLC, investigating the effects of climate change-induced ice
retreat on seismic
and volcanic activity. The researcher will contribute to the advancement of
new Glacial Isostatic Adjustment (GIA) models, develop new methodologies
for combining GIA and volcano deformation models, and work on forecasting
future scenarios/hazards related to increased magma generation beneath
Iceland.
