Hello Volcano Communicators!

There are four sessions at Cities on Volcanoes 12 related to communication.
Please consider submitting an abstract to one of them. Below is a list of
the four with a short explainer of how they differ. Please read the full
descriptions to learn more about what type of information could be
presented in each session.

302 Creating â??volcano-readyâ?? communities: communicating for resilience and
response

   - Practical strategies and practices for ensuring communities at risk
are ready to respond to an eruption

427 Stakeholder needs: Communication for decision-making during crises

   - Communicating directly with people in charge of making emergency life
and safety decisions about volcano crises

429 â??Can everyone understand us?â??: Communicating risk to vulnerable
populations in volcanic areas

   - Lessons for communicating to diverse vulnerable populations

430 Communication is tuff: Conveying challenging topics in volcanology

   - Communicating information that is complex (e.g. probability,
uncertainty) or difficult (loss of life) and dealing with challenging
   topics (e.g. misinformation, making mistakes)

Thank you!!
