Our session is an arts fair which gathers expressions from the visual arts
(photography, video, textiles, poetry, drawings, etc.) that explore
imaginings of identity, place and memory through volcanic landscapes and
eruptions. We invite submissions based on interdisciplinary and
transdisciplinary research methods, visual expressions, and reflections
from researchers and practitioners in the field.

We welcome works produced in projects in which people have collaborated to
make creative outputs, as well as artistic interventions that deal with
understanding volcanic landscapes, co-production of knowledge in volcanic
areas, and/or volcanic risk reduction through artistic methods. Both
individual reflections and co-produced artwork are welcome.

Visual art submissions are invited along with short abstracts of process
description and reflection (200 words max). Submissions are invited in
English or Spanish.

Nuestra sesión es una feria de artes volcánicas que reúne obras de artes
visuales (fotografía, vídeo, textiles, poesía, dibujos, etc.) que exploran
imaginarios de identidad, lugar y memoria a través de paisajes y erupciones
volcánicas. Invitamos propuestas de obras basados en métodos de
investigación interdisciplinarios y transdisciplinarios, expresiones
visuales y reflexiones de investigadores y profesionales del sector.

Serán bienvenidas las obras producidas en proyectos en los que se haya
reunido personas para practicar métodos para realizar resultados creativos,
así como las intervenciones artísticas que aborden la comprensión de los
paisajes volcánicos, la coproducción de conocimientos en zonas volcánicas
y/o la reducción del riesgo volcánico a través de métodos artísticos. Son
bienvenidas tanto las reflexiones individuales como las obras de arte
coproducidas.

Se invita a presentar su obra de arte visual junto con una breve resúmen de
descripción del proceso y reflexión (200 palabras como máximo). Se invita a
presentar propuestas en inglés o español.
