The Volcanology Department of the Geophysics Institute at Mexicoâ??s National
University (UNAM) in Mexico City is currently seeking a researcher in
Volcanology.



Position Overview:

The successful candidate will hold a doctorate in Geosciences or related
fields, coupled with a minimum of two years of postdoctoral experience. Of
paramount importance is a demonstrated record of significant scientific
contributions, both in terms of quality and breadth, within the following
areas:



Dynamics of volcanic systems

Modeling and analysis of data

Societal and environmental implications of volcanic activity and,

Hazard assessment and risk management



Key Responsibilities:

In addition to your research prowess, we seek individuals who are
passionate about interdisciplinary collaboration. You will engage with
specialists from various disciplines related to volcanology, fostering a
rich and diverse academic environment. Successful candidates will be adept
at securing research funding, publishing impactful findings in high-impact
journals, contributing to graduate and postgraduate education, providing
student guidance, and actively participating in the academic life of both
the Geophysics Institute and UNAM.

5)    A certified copy of your doctoral diploma (e.g., Ph.D.).



Selection Process:

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to deliver a seminar at the
Institute, providing a platform to showcase their research expertise. This
will be followed by a thorough interview with a selection committee.
