2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2 From: Jonathan Fink <jonfink@xxxxxxx> At the AGU Annual Meeting in 2000, several of you participated in a special session called "Volcanology in the Year 2010," in which you were asked to speculate about how your subfield of volcano science was likely to evolve in the coming decade. In 2010 and again in 2020, we convened follow-up sessions in which speakers were asked to look backward and forward and to comment about how their specialized areas had changed. Last year, the *Bulletin of Volcanology* began publishing a series of 33 perspective articles following this theme. The result is a unique profile of how an individual science has changed in response to continuous technological advances and more stochastic natural and socio-cultural events. The collection, organized into four sections (Magma Systems, Monitoring Methods, Scales and Collaborations, and Societal Interactions), is available through most academic libraries. IAVCEI members and *Bulletin of Volcanology* subscribers can access the collection here: https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.iavceivolcano.org/bulletin-of-volcanology-the-journal/special-issues/bulletin-of-volcanology-special-issue-looking-backwards-and-forwards-in-volcanology-2020/__;!!IKRxdwAv5BmarQ!bJqNlPaA8Ux2zqRZ4STtdxmxovQV56ptvn7iX9MgVy7b3EQ5IEeAXJzvfMGk9tNp8hX8tCE4E1FT3wj8$ <https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.iavceivolcano.org/bulletin-of-volcanology-the-journal/special-issues/bulletin-of-volcanology-special-issue-looking-backwards-and-forwards-in-volcanology-2020/__;!!IKRxdwAv5BmarQ!cS-Ic7uERl7mqhkEA7ERy2omQL4Wgt5GvDexotexI7X8f076cBsXeP7Btu4V0TVNIKcQ-VBBk3ShS2Ps$> In addition, the Preface contains a link to a spreadsheet <https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.dropbox.com/s/4pbxl719ybjx0op/2020*20AGU*20Volcanology*20Presentations.xlsx?dl=0__;JSUl!!IKRxdwAv5BmarQ!cS-Ic7uERl7mqhkEA7ERy2omQL4Wgt5GvDexotexI7X8f076cBsXeP7Btu4V0TVNIKcQ-VBBk6XN6bDc$> with hyperlinks to video recordings of the 16 presentations from the 2020 AGU session.
