Dear Colleagues,

The USGS is pleased to announce a new publication:

*Optimizing Satellite Resources for the Global Assessment and Mitigation of
Volcanic Hazardsâ??Suggestions from the USGS Powell Center Volcano Remote
Sensing Working Group*

The report summarizes the state of the art volcano remote sensing, barriers
to use, and vision for improvements, and it includes an appendix with a
volcano-by-volcano observation plan. The plan will be updated with
community suggestions at osf.io/e4txg/. The report emphasizes an overall
goal to create a Volcano Space Task Group to make sure the right satellites
are collecting the right type of observations at the right volcanoes.
