Understanding the birth, growth and potential mobilisation of mush systems is hence of major interest in volcanology, and requires a comprehensive approach to the study of magma transport, storage and differentiation through the crust. Crucially, the rates, depths and complexities inherent to magmatic plumbing systems have a major impact on the behaviour, duration and intensity of ensuing volcanic eruptions.* *We invite a wide range of contributions including field, petrographic, geochemical, experimental, numerical and/or geophysical approaches to constrain the spatio-temporal evolution of mush systems and the key processes that lead to eruption.
