INVOLCâ??s primary ambition is to **Increase horizontal collaboration among scientists working in resource-constrained countries and institutions in order to stimulate their enhanced participation and inclusion into the global volcanological community.* *After a quiet two years, INVOLC is now gaining momentum and ready to present itself to the wider community. A presentation of the network, by Prof. Gezahegn Yirgu (Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia) is planned during the upcoming Cities on Volcanoes 11 conference, on Thursday 16th June, in the 8.30-10.30 slot of Session S4.01.* *One specific objective that INVOLC has been working on, is a set of Best-Engagement Protocols for International Collaboration. A draft of these protocols was already endorsed by the IAVCEI Executive Committee, but we would still like to seek input and feedback from the international community before final endorsement in early 2023 and publication.
