Dear colleagues,

Bulletin of Volcanology opens now for contributions on the following topic:
*Improving interactions and communications between the Volcano
Observatories and Institutes, VAACs and aviation*

This special volume has been conceived in the aftermath of two European
VOs-VAACs workshops which were held within the EUROVOLC and EPOS-SP
projects in 2019 and 2021.

We invite all the speakers and participants of the two workshops, as well
as anyone interested from the broader international community, to join this
volume*. *The aim of this volume is to gather review papers, scientific
papers, case studies or short report papers over the three overarching
themes of the two workshops:

   1. Operational procedures at and between VAACs and Volcanic
   Observatories: current status and roadmaps;
   2. Implementation of research results (e.g. the estimation of the
   eruption source parameters, newest monitoring tools or the usage of data
   base collection);
   3. Good practices for responding to volcanic eruptions from an aviation
   perspective, including current limitations, perspectives and future
   advancements.

Looking forward your interest.
With best regards,

Sara Barsotti
