The workshop will be held on Sunday 10 July and aims to bring users in the SIMS community together to discuss recent developments on instrumentation and methodologies used in various geochemistry-related fields. Potential topics will include novel ion sources and/or advanced detection systems, analytical protocols to efficiently, precisely and/or accurately determine isotope and/or elemental ratios in natural and synthetic samples, and techniques to facilitate measurements of analytically challenging materials.
