2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2 From: Duncan Agnew <dagnew@xxxxxxxx> Geophysical Journal International (GJI) welcomes contributions to a special issue devoted to the eruptive sequence of Hunga volcano (Tonga islands) that began on 14 January 2022. This eruption produced what is perhaps the largest volcanic explosion in the last 138 years, creating significant and globally-observed waves in the solid Earth, the ocean, the atmosphere, the ionosphere, and the electromagnetic field. We encourage submissions that address observing and analyzing any aspect of these waves or describing and making available relevant datasets. We also welcome papers using the radiated energy, along with other data, for characterizing the eruptive source, or modeling other aspects of the eruption. THE SUBMISSION DEADLINE IS JULY 15, 2022.
