Outreach Coordinator
The Opportunity

The Departments of Mining Engineering, Geology and Geological Engineering,
Geophysics, and Petroleum Engineering (â??the Departmentsâ??) are seeking a
passionate advocate to increase undergraduate enrollment in the
Departmentsâ?? degree programs by executing an outreach program that focuses
on accepted students and undeclared undergraduates, especially including
women and other underrepresented groups, and by contributing to building an
inclusive CSM community. The Coordinator will lead undergraduate
recruitment for the Departments by developing and executing an outreach
program that focuses on accepted incoming students as well as CSM students
who have not yet declared a major. Collaboration with the Departments, the
Office of Admissions and the Office of Marketing/Communication will be
required. Tasks include, but are not limited to, designing and executing an
encompassing and dynamic program that includes outreach events to excite
and inspire students about relevant careers and degree programs in the
Departments, creating and updating marketing materials, coordinating
student-alumni-industry interactions, meeting individually with students,
and supporting other tasks that nurture a personalized approach to outreach.
