The Department of Geological Sciences, Central Washington University
(CWU), invites applications for a 9-month, non-tenure track lecturer. The
lecturer will teach an average of 15 credit hours per quarter (2-3
courses), including courses for majors (Rocks and Minerals, Mineralogy,
and Structural Geology), introductory courses, and an elective in an area
of interest. Opportunities to make use of the Murdock Research laboratory
and advise undergraduate students in research are also available. A strong
commitment to teaching at the undergraduate level, including working with
students from traditionally underrepresented groups, is essential. An MS
in Geological Sciences or closely related field is required; a PhD and
some university-level teaching experience is preferred, particularly with
inclusive and evidence-based teaching practices. The appointment runs from
September 16, 2021, to June 15, 2022. /*Note:*//Screening begins June 24,
2021./
