The position is part of a project funded by the European Research Council, â??Storage and Eruption of Mushy Magma Systemsâ?? (STEMMS), led by Dr Madeleine Humphreys. The overall aim of the project is to combine apatite geochemistry with major phase (feldspar) crystal textures in order to understand the crystallisation and remobilisation of crystal mushes. The successful candidate will join the vibrant and active volcanology group at Durham.
