1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1 From: Jonathan Fink <jonfink@xxxxxxx> *Invitation to contribute to a special section in Bulletin of Volcanology about the future of volcano science* At the Fall AGU meeting, last December, Kathy Cashman and I co-chaired the third in a series of once-a-decade sessions in which speakers were asked to speculate about how a particular subfield of volcanology would develop in the next ten years. Based on this session and its predecessors in 2000 and 2010, *Bulletin of Volcanology* will be publishing a collection of short (4-6 page) papers "looking backward and forwards" about specific topics in volcano science. While most of the authors will be those who spoke in one or more of the AGU sessions, we are opening the publication to others. The first set of manuscripts will be due June 30, 2021, but *BV* will consider publishing additional submissions that come in over the summer.
