This GRC conference will be held *August 15-20, 2021 at Mount Snow, Vermont*. The theme of the 2021 GRC is the "Timing, Tempo, and Drivers of Lithospheric Evolution." We have a lineup of confirmed discussion leaders and speakers, which is provided below. These include geochronologists as well as scientists whose work is heavily influenced by geochronology. The GRC provides an immersive experience for five days with colleagues in a collegial environment. We hope you will join us next August. *The 2021 GRC will be preceded by a Gordon Research Seminar (GRS) *( https://www.grc.org/geochronology-grs-conference/2021/ <https://nam10.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.grc.org%2Fgeochronology-grs-conference%2F2021%2F&data=04%7C01%7Ccchan%40ku.edu%7C7b73c9fb322b40d9e87b08d888636c50%7C3c176536afe643f5b96636feabbe3c1a%7C0%7C0%7C637409307917847811%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&sdata=HOeocsjaSCM1eCftDE73YZWRswnxvnZC2bsDRHeTSl0%3D&reserved=0> )* planned by and for students and early career researchers. *The inaugural Geochronology GRS will run August 14-15 at Mount Snow and will include a mentoring session highlighting different career paths and how to overcome common challenges faced by early-career researchers. We hope that group leaders will encourage and support your research groups to attend both the GRS and GRC. There will be a separate application process, to be announced later, for funding to support attendance for students and postdocs. We note that conferences for summer 2021 are still being planned, but of course, the global pandemic may affect them. We expect that if the conference cannot be held next summer, it would be postponed by two years to summer 2023.
