The eruption on the 3rd of June 2018 of the Fuego volcano was one of the most important volcanic disasters of recent decades in Latin America. Commemorating this eruption, we will review the causes and consequences of the disaster with specialists from the Risk Management institutions in Guatemala. We will discuss the lessons learned from Fuego volcano not only with volcanologists, but also with specialists from Social Sciences involved in the management of the tragic event.
