Cal Barnes (Texas Tech) and I are organizing a session "T12. Igneous
Minerals as Capsules of Length and Time-Scale Information for Magma
Processes in Magma Plumbing Systems" at the Pasadena GSA Cordilleran
Section meeting, May 12-14, 2020.

*Description:* This session brings together scientists working on mineral
scale petrography, geochemistry, geochronology, and other approaches to
examine types of magma processes and their length and times scales from the
magma source region to the volcanic edifice to better understand the nature
of magma plumbing systems and the processes defining them.

We hope you will consider attending the meeting and submitting an abstract
to our session. The abstract submission deadline is Feb. 11, 11:59 pm PST.
For more info, go to

Please note that we are also organizing a related short course on "Use of
Magmatic Structures for Unraveling the Evolution of Magmatic Systems:
Combined Field, Structural, and Geochemical Techniques. For more info, go to
https://www.geosociety.org/GSA/Events/Section_Meetings/GSA/Sections/cd/2020mtg/courses.aspx

Hope to see you there!
