CoV9. Call for abstracts_1st Meeting of Young Latin American Volcanologists

Dear Colleagues,
During CoV 9 conference (20-25 November 2016, Puerto Varas-Chile), the 1st Meeting of Young Latin American Volcanologists" sponsored by the Latin American Association of Volcanology (ALVO) will take place.
We would like to invite early stage career researchers working at volcano observatories, scientific-technical institutions and others organizations involved in volcanology and volcanic risk reduction in Latin America to submit a short abstract with the following characteristics:
- Title and the names of all people listed in the abstract. Please indicate in bold type people that have already confirmed that they will attend the conference
- A description of your working group: e.g. research interests and current projects related to the study of active volcanoes. The description should include the volcanoes under research, the different techniques applied, communities affected by the results of your research as well as challenges and difficulties that the group may befacing.
- The group can be a research team from the same or from different institutions.
Maximum of one A4 page (Font: Arial 11; Line spacing 1,5)
Format of submission: PDF, doc, docx, odt, tex, ASCI
Deadline for submission: August 15th

CONVOCATORIA A CONTRIBUCIONES
Dirigida a estudiantes de grado y posgrado, profesionales con hasta 5 años de experiencia que trabajen en observatorios vulcanológicos, instituciones científico-técnicas u otras organizaciones vinculadas al desarrollo de la volcanología y/o riesgo volcánico en Latinoamérica.
Convocamos a los interesados, a enviar sus propuestas para participar del encuentro. Las propuestas deberán ser enviadas por escrito con las siguientes características:
- Título del trabajo a presentar
- Presentación del grupo de trabajo que aborde: líneas de investigación y proyectos actuales dentro del grupo con énfasis en los volcanes bajo estudio, las comunidades incluidas, las técnicas utilizadas, los desafíos y oportunidades.
- El grupo puede ser un grupo de investigación o grupo de trabajo en la misma o diferentes instituciones, incluso si son de diferentes países de América Latina.
- Nombrar a todas las personas representadas en el grupo señalando cargo e institución que representa. Diferenciar con letra negrita a aquellos con presencia confirmada en la conferencia.

características y objetivo del encuentro, el Comité Organizador asignará el
tiempo de presentación para cada grupo una vez recibida la totalidad de
propuestas A su vez, el Comité Organizador se reserva el derecho de proponer
modificaciones en los grupos propuestos con el fin de optimizar el tiempo y
lograr la representación de todo el continente.
