Dear All,

Applications are invited for a Post-Doctoral Research Associate (PDRA) to work in the Department of Earth Sciences at Durham University, UK. The three-year PDRA position is funded by the UK Natural Environment Research Council as part of the consortium project: 'DisEqm: Quantifying disequilibrium processes in basaltic volcanism’. The position will suit a physical scientist with excellent laboratory/experimental skills and an interest in volcanic eruptive processes.

The DisEqm consortium is led by the University of Manchester, and includes the Universities of Durham, Bristol, Cambridge, and Arizona State, and the Diamond Light Source at Harwell. The PDRA will be fully embedded in the broader project, will have the opportunity to contribute to other Work Packages and interact with a large group of collaborators from around the world. The PDRA will be supervised by Dr Ed Llewellin (Durham University), with support from the wider project team, particularly: Prof Mike Burton and Dr Giuseppe La Spina (both University of Manchester), and Prof Heidy Mader (University of Bristol). The PDRA will join the vibrant Volcanology Group at Durham University
