Dear ListServ readers,
thanks to
the kind assistance of Dr Strauch / INETER and the Nicaraguan
Government it was possible to access Masaya volcano over a period of
several days last week. Documented activity was relatively stable with a
relatively dynamic lava lake agitated by strong degassing activity.
Visual documentation included timelapse animations from various
positions, and videos of the lava lake, including slow motion video of
bursting lava bubbles.
The video can be viewed at:
A detailed webpage on Masaya will follow on my website at a later date.
