Volcanic tours at Villarrica volcano
*****************************************************************************************************
Dear volcanophiles,
As you know, Villarrica
volcano has been particularly active during February - April
2015. Now, the access to the volcano was reopened to the
public.
Villarrica´s boiling
lava lake is worldwide known, but the volcano offer more
amazing opportunities to explore.
Next time you visit southern Chile, take a 1 or 2-days
volcanic tours to interact with historic
lava flows, lahar deposits, formidable basaltic ignimbrites,
pyroclastic flows and surge deposits, subacqueous scoriaceos
prismatically-jointed lapilli, dikes, caldera wall, and more.
Tours will be guided by Werner Keller, Villarrica expert and
volcanologist, post-degree in
Volcanology and founder of Villarrica Volcano Observation
Project (since 1996,
povi.cl).
Please let me know when you plan to take
the exclusive volcanic tour and how many people want to
participate.
Best wishes from Chile,
Werner Keller
