3-year post-doc: geochemistry and mineralogy of Se and Te in magmatic-hydrothermal systems and ore deposits
From: "Smith, Daniel (Dr.)" <djs40@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

An excellent Researcher is required for a project to investigate the geochemistry and mineralogy of hydrothermal ore deposits and their volcanic host rocks. The focus is on the crustal cycling and mineralisation of the elements selenium and tellurium, and their ultimate recovery as by- and co-products of major metal mining operations (e.g. Cu, Au) as part of the TeaSe consortium of the NERC SoS Minerals programme (http://ow.ly/LHmdO @TeaSe_SoS). This is a great opportunity for a postdoc to work as part of a large and exciting consortium project. The project is suitable for those with a background in high temperature geochemistry, mineralogy & petrology, and / or economic geology.

Informal enquiries are welcome and should be made to Dr Dan Smith on djs40@xxxxxxxx  or 0116 252 5355.

The closing date for this post is midnight on 24 August 2015.

We anticipate that assessments will take place on 16 September 2015.
