VOLCANO: IUGG 2015. Schedule for VW04 Remote Sensing and Modeling of Volcanic Ash in Latin America
*****************************************************************************************************
Dear Collegues,
We would like to draw your attention on the one-day workshop " VW04 Remote Sensing and Modelling of Volcanic Ash in Latin America " to be held during the upcoming IUGG General Assembly in Prague on 25th June, 2015. This workshop will include solicited talks and plenary discussions aimed at reviewing and discussing the state of the art and quality of the EO-based algorithms and modeling approaches currently in place within the Latin American context and alternative paths towards the operational implementation and standardization of products suitable for volcanic ash resulting not only from eruptions but also from remobilization events. Ultimately, it is expected that this workshop would lead to the development of collaborative work that would aim at an eventual general improvement of the current operational capabilities for volcanic ash detection, monitoring and forecasting of Latin American countries.
Please find below an update version of the schedule.
We look forward to seeing you in Prague,
Soledad Osores and
Guillermo Toyos
