Temporary Instructor Position Available in Petrology and Geochemistry
at the University of Puerto Rico - Mayagüez Campus
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Geology Department of the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez is seeking
applications for a temporary instructor position in the fields of Petrology and
Geochemistry. The appointment will be at the rank of an instructor/assistant professor
and for the 2015-2016 academic year. Candidates should have a doctoral degree (PhD) in
Petrology or an associated qualified area at the time of appointment. Fluency in English
or Spanish is required and fluency in both preferred. Primary responsibilities for this
position include teaching undergraduate courses in Igneous and Metamorphic Petrology,
Geochemistry and basic level courses for majors and non-majors. There will also be an
opportunity to teach courses at the graduate level and direct undergraduate research.
