AGU 2013 Fall Meeting - Session V033. Physical volcanology of eruptions involving water

Dear Colleagues,
We wish to draw your attention and invite your contributions to Session V033 - Physical volcanology of eruptions involving water, at the next AGU Fall Meeting, to be held in San Francisco December 9 to 13 of this year.
Our session description is brief and our intent is to draw the greatest possible range of contributions regarding all effects of the hydrosphere, including the cryosphere, on volcanism, and on volcanism’s effects on it. Contributions regarding such effects on volcanism of other planets are also welcomed.
“Water in oceans, glaciers, lakes, streams and aquifers lies in the path of magma ascending to eruption over the great majority of Earth, and on some other planets as well. This session invites contributions of all aspects of magma’s interaction with water en route to the surface and during eruption.”
The session is co-sponsored with Earth and Planetary Surface Processes, Natural Hazards, and Planetary Sciences.
