PhD scholarships available.
The University of Otago provides PhD scholarships, by competitive application, to students with ~ "A" averages (~3.75 GPA) at Masters or Honours level (also BS level with a senior thesis and a 4-yr undergraduate degree).
In volcanology there are some projects planned that scholarship students could take part in (http://www.otago.ac.nz/geology/research/volcanology/index.html); other projects can also be considered, and interested students should contact James White for further information (http://www.otago.ac.nz/geology/people/white/index.html).
