The USGS Volcano Hazards Program invites you to subscribe to the Volcano Notification Service (VNS).
VNS is a free service that sends you notification emails about the status of volcanic activity and other significant events at U.S. volcanoes. You can customize the VNS to deliver notifications for specific volcanoes or a region of volcanoes, and you can also choose the types of notifications to receive.
The five U.S. Volcano Observatories issue notifications on a regular basis or when activity is elevated within their area of responsibility: Alaska (AVO), Washington and Oregon Cascades (CVO), Hawaii (HVO), California and Nevada (CalVO), and Yellowstone (YVO).
