Graduate students and postdocs: FEMA sponsored short course at GSA:
Have you wondered what to do in case of a volcanic crisis? The National Disaster Preparedness Training Center at University of Hawaii is scheduling a free FEMA-sponsored day-and-a-half course on Volcanic Crises Awareness. This free course will not only teach you the techniques and procedure used by professionals during a crisis, but you will also participate in a ½-day scenario case study. On completion of the course and a pre and post-test, you will receive a certificate from FEMA.
Please contact Kristine Kosinski (kkosinsk@xxxxxxxxxx) if you need more information. To register, please go to http://www.geosociety.org/meetings/2012/courses.htm
Thank you,
Kristine
