The First Circular for the Surtsey 50th Aniversary Conference in 2013 is out. The conference will be held in Reykjavík August 12-15, 2013. This will be an open, international scientific meeting, focussing on geological and biological development of volcanic islands.
Main time markers:
June 2012: First Circular.
November 1, 2012: _expression_ of interest deadline
February 2013: Second Circular
February 15, 2013: Registration opens
April 1, 2013: Early registration deadline
May 1, 2013: Abstract deadline
August 12, 2013: Conference starts
