Dear colleagues,

At the website http://bet.bo.ingv.it/
you can download for free the codes BET_EF 2.0 and BET_VH 2.1 (OS Windows and MacIntosh with BootCamp).

In the same webpage you can also find references of related papers and other information.

** BET_EF is a code that allows graphically supported computing of short- to long-term eruption forecasting by merging all the available information, such as theoretical models, a priori beliefs, monitoring measures, and any kind of past data, all of them provided by the end user. BET_EF deals with short- and long-term forecasting; therefore, it can be useful in many practical aspects, such as land-use planning and during volcanic emergencies.

** BET_VH is a code that allows graphically supported computing of long-term volcanic hazard by merging all the available information, such as models, a priori beliefs, and any kind of past data, all of them provided by the end user. BET_VH provides single scenario maps or a full probabilistic volcanic hazard assessment, by averaging (with proper weights) all possible scenarios.
