Dear Colleagues:

My apologies for the multiple postings. I would like to draw your attention to new faculty position in Economic Geology and Mineral Resource Sustainability in the Department of Geosciences at the University of Arizona. The text of the advertisement is given below. The areas of emphasis are wide open. Members of VOLCANO LISTSERVE are an appropriate audience because of the many important overlap between magmatic systems and ore-forming environments.

We would very much appreciate your help in drawing this to the attention of early to mid career scientists who have a strong commitment to research, teaching and collaboration related to mineral resources. The area(s) of focus is(are) wide open – from environment to genesis, from low- to high-temperature, from the microscopic to the global.

Our time frame is relatively short:  We will begin reviewing applications by early February and will continue until the position is filled.

Thank you!

Mark Barton

Approaches can be field, lab or theoretical and could involve settings from surficial to magmatic, scales from microscopic to global, topics from basic science to applications and policy. (UA Job Number 44141, www.arizona.edu; review of applications will begin on January 15 and continue until the search is completed)
