Greetings from Montserrat,
We at Living Letters Studio, have finished the Italian translation of the educational DVD, Montserrat's Andesite Volcano and want to thank all those who worked so hard on this project. First a special thanks to Steve Sparks for planting the original seeds for this video many years ago. Also VERY SPECIAL thanks to Costanza Bonadonna and Corrado Cimarelli for not only translating five chapters each, but for taking the extra time to do the final edits and rewrites. The other translators who gave their time and talents to this project were Alessandro Fabbrizio, Micol Todesco and Boris Behncke. Thanks to all of you!
ATTENTION: If anyone out there speaks ITALIAN and is coming to Montserrat, or would like to come to Montserrat, BEFORE the COV7 conference in Tenerife in May, we need someone to do the voiceover, (narration). We would be happy to give you a place to stay and a good dinner while here. You can check out the accommodations at: www.volcano-island.com . It would probably take two or three days, but you could stay longer as our guest.
We are hoping to have the finished product ready for the COV7 conference. This will mean that we will now be offering a three disc set that will have the English, French, Spanish, German, Japanese and ITALIAN versions, all in one package. We are very excited to have this in six languages now, and know that it will be a helpful teaching tool for many of those in the volcano community.
