It failed shortly before we posted our latest issue of the Bulletin of the Global Volcanism Network and after the SI/USGS Weekly Report. With luck, Ed Venzke and other computer specialists should have the site up and running normally early next week. In the last hour or so we found two approaches that might work for you. 1. We found that clearing our browser's cache (on the Internet Explorer this is found under Tools, Options, then deleting Browsing History, which will clear away previous history) and then rebooting enabled us to log onto the usual site (http://www.volcano.si.edu) 2. "The volcano blog" posted this address, which seems to work: http://rathbun2.si.edu/ We're striving to fix the problem and realize the site serves some critical functions.
