PHISHING FOR VOLCANOLOGISTS: Update

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Dear Colleagues--

This morning I was made aware that a request for money was made in my
name by someone in Lagos, Nigeria, purporting that I was attending a
meeting and had been robbed of my valuables. The request asked for
$1500 to be sent to a Western Union office in Lagos. As you might
imagine, this is a hoax. And consequently be aware of receiving such a
request by email.

In fact Patty and I are here in Quito, sin problemas.

Best Wishes,
Minard (Pete) Hall
