Significant events identified by Satellite Analysis Branch meteorologists and 
reviewed by the Operational Significant Event Imagery support team Tuesday 
October 17, 2006 are as follows:


Volcano in the South America.


IMAGE D6140: MODIS <> Image Type=Combine <> 10/16/2006 15:40 UTC RGB=CH(1,4,3).


As of the 17th of October, Tungurahua volcano maintains superficial activity, 
characterised by constant emissions with ash.  This imagery shows a 9 nmi wide 
plume extending at least 30-25 nmi to the southeast of the summit.
