Research fellowship in volcanic hazard and risk

We seek to appoint SIX, five-year RCUK Fellows to join the newly
established Institute for Hazard and Risk Research (IHRR), a major
University interdisciplinary research institute led by Durham’s RAE5*
Geography Department. The appointments may start on or after 1st
November 2006, subject to standard probationary conditions, will be
converted into permanent lectureship positions at the end of the fellowship

Fellowship in Volcanic Hazards
To focus on improving understanding of specific hazards and risks
related to volcanic activity and their impacts on society, with the key
objective of furthering our ability to protect populations and to
mitigate volcano-related hazards
This fellowship is expected to have a strong association with the Earth
Sciences Department at Durham;
