1) POST-DOC GRANT ON VOLCANOLOGY

The Centre of Volcanology and Geological Risk Assessment (CVARG) of the Azores
University, Portugal, invites applications for one Post-Doc grant in
Volcanology for the minimum period of one year, with possibility of extension.
Work will be carried out on the CVARG facilities at the island of S. Miguel,
Azores.

Required qualifications: PhD in Volcanology or related fields preferably with
experience in the study of volcanic deposits, namely in field analysis and
laboratorial treatment of volcanic products. The grant holder will work in
volcanic deposits from selected Azorean volcanoes aimed at understanding
eruptive processes, namely those related with caldera-forming events.

The yearly salary is ?20,930 (twenty thousand nine hundred and thirty euros).
Applications will be open from the 20th of February to the 3rd of March.

2) POST-DOC FELLOWSHIP ON VOLCANIC RISK

The Centre of Volcanology and Geological Risk Assessment (CVARG) of the Azores
University, Portugal, invites applications for one Post-Doc grant in
Volcanology for the minimum period of one year, with possibility of extension.
Work will be carried out on the CVARG facilities at the island of S. Miguel,
Azores.

Required qualifications: PhD in Volcanology or related fields preferably with
experience in the study of volcanic activity and associated risks. The
fellowship holder will perform probabilistic analysis of eruptive scenarios
and implement eruptive models aimed at risk management.

The yearly salary is ?20,930 (twenty thousand nine hundred and thirty euros).
Applications will be open from the 20th of February to the 3rd of March.
